Economic Growth of Karo Regency in 2018

• The economy of Karo Regency in 2018 compared to the previous year growth slowed down by 4.55 percent. Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle operations at 12.32 percent. Followed by the company's Field Services by 7.57 percent and transportation and warehousing 7.55 percent.

• Under the expenditure approach, the highest Gross Fixed Capital Formation component is 6.35 percent, followed by the Household Consumption Expenditure component of 6.03 percent.

• Three business fields that gave a dominant role to the Karo PDRB in 2018, namely: agriculture, forestry and fisheries by 54.14 percent, wholesale and retail trade and car and motorcycle operations by 10.90 and Construction by 7.37 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the household consumption expenditure component (PKRT) gave the largest contribution of 54.02 percent, following the gross fixed capital formation (PMTB) component by 31.32 percent and exports by 29.98 percent.

 • Nominally, the Karo PDRB in 2018 based on the current price reaches Rp. 19,359.01 billion and the GDP at a constant price of 2018 reaches Rp. 13,744.17 billion.
